What is the value of log base 3 27?

A. 2

B. 3

C. 6

D. 9

base 3 = meaning the little number under and to the left of log

Please answer some of my following or previous questions about other math problems! best answer = 10 points

PS. Showing how you got your answer (your work) makes you more likely to win the best answer.|||Hi,

Changing log鈧?27 = x into exponential form gives 3^x = 27

This is 3^x = 3鲁, so x = 3 %26lt;==ANSWER B

I hope that helps!! -)|||B same reason as the other two problems|||B.3

since 3^3 = 27|||The answer is B

3x3x3 = 27|||Note that 27 = 3鲁

So Log3(27) = Log3(3鲁) = 3

The definition of a Logarithm is Loga(a^n) = n, where Loga means Logarithm base a.

ProfRay|||log base 3 (27)

This should probably come to you automatically, the answer is 3, but if it doesn't then you should try it like this:

Change it to an exponential function, you have to know how to switch between exponential and log.

3^x = 27

I'm not so sure if there's a specific process for doing this, but it just requires a little bit of thought.

3 to the power of what number equals 27

3^3 = 27

27 = 27

You could, of course, use your calculator and find the cube root of 27, but that's no fun.

If you have problems with logs it's probably because you don't know how to switch to the exponent form. Just study how to do that, and you'll master logs.|||First, let us set it equal to x, the value we are trying to find.

logb(27) = x; b = 3

We can also rewrite it as 3^x = 27.

From that, we can rewrite 27 as 3^3.

3^x = 3^3

If the bases are equal, then we can say that x = 3.
